Jane & John Evers (Norman Park, GA)

The Evers operate an antique business that specializes in old farm equipment-hay balers, rakes, and cane mills. They DO sell cane mills (unlike the other individuals listed on these pages) and usually have two or three in stock. Bottom left, is a large two-roller mill. The feed guide indicates that Chattanooga produced it, but this guide is easily removed so I can not be sure that it is original. Bottom right, shows two well-worn Chattanooga # 12 cane mills. According to my observations, this was one of the two most popular mills in this area. (Golden # 2 is the other popular mill.) The Chattanooga # 12 weighs 575 pounds and is rated at 350-500 gallons of juice per day. The king roller of this three-roller mill is 12 x 6 inches (see Ken's old Catalog Page).
