Comments:The Walkers pictured here were parents of Odell nee Walker Outlaw (w/o Melvin Outlaw).

According to Find-A-Grave, Roland Andrew Walker Sr. was born May 2, 1891, and died Nov 24, 1945 in Florida where he and his spouse were buried. His listed children include Odell Brogdon (surname from 2d marriage) and his spouse is listed as Jane Mallisa. According to the same source, she was born May 22, 1893 and died Feb 18,1964. Her parents were David Melton and Mallisa Matilda Robinson. From other sources, Mallisa Robinson's maiden name was Bennett.

In 1917-1918, Roland registered for the draft. Tall, black eyes, brown hair, medium build.

In the 1920 FC, Odell was 3, her mother was recorded as "Jane" and her father was a self-employed farmer near Enigma. In the 1930 FC, the family lived in Jordan (between Nashville and Tifton), owned their own home and Roland was engaged in farming. The 1940 FC showed that they had lived in Berrien County in 1935, but had moved to Fort Meyers, FL. Odell and Melvin married before the 1940 FC so she was not in the household.

Sometimes, it seems like connections just won't stop. Let's try to tally some. (1) Odell's 2d greatgrandparents Fountain were the same as my 3d greatgrandparents Fountain. (David Melton's mother was Nancy Carolina nee Fountain Robinson. (2) Daddy's brother, Buren, married Bessie Robinson, Odell's first cousin. John Robinson has summarized the relationships in this link: http://www.robinsonroundup.com/book/Ch%205%20Sec3%20Part%201.pdf (3) Melvin's (Odell's husband and father of her children) grandfather Outlaw was my greatgrandfather Outlaw. (4) Melvin's grandfather Watson was my greatgrandfather Watson. So, in brief summary, I am related in three ways by blood to Melvin and Odell's children, and in an additional way by marriage. There's probably more.
