Comments:Uncle Joe is standing in his front yard facing a little east of north. Behind him is the Teeterville Road, and the residence in the background is just past the Ruth Forester Church. The field behind him is large for the area (25-40 acres) and, according to Eston Outlaw, Joe Harrell plowed it all himself with a 2-horse team. What a job! (Back in the day, farms were often characterized as a one-horse farm, two-horse farm, etc., and the formula was about 20 acres of cultivated land per horse.) Last edit 2017-04-30.
